If you're tired of the typical Thai offerings like Pad Thai, this place is for you. The branzino was my favorite along with the crab fried rice. The chicken wings had this lime-y dry rub that went very well with the wings. The shrimp curry was packed with umami and had a really nice flavor, but the shrimp came with the shell on and it was a bit cumbersome to eat. The pandan ice cream was delicious although I thought the palm seeds didn't really add to it and the sticky rice was a bit too sweet. The service was amazing. Out server was attentive, professional and informative. The atmosphere was.... a bit hectic. The tables were pretty close to each other, and with everyone talking and music playing loud, I wished personally for a more relaxing vibe. Overall, an amazing find. Highly recommended!

Portion sizes are not particularly large, but every dish is packed with flavor. The steamed fish stood out in particular — the tangy sauce perfectly complemented the tender, flawlessly cooked fish. Even those who typically don’t enjoy seafood would likely appreciate this dish. The corn salad was fresh and topped with a unique dressing. While it had a flavor reminiscent of Thai crab sauce, it managed to avoid any strong fishiness, instead offering a light kick of spice. The cool, crunchy corn paired beautifully with the sauce. The chicken wings were nicely crisped and served hot, which was a plus. The sauce was less sweet than a typical Korean-style chicken sauce, but thicker and richer in texture. The prawn curry is best enjoyed with rice — the combination enhances the creamy coconut flavor, and the firm texture of the prawns adds a satisfying bite. Despite it being 8 PM, the restaurant was still bustling, and a few alcoholic drinks were already sold out. The service was lively, friendly, and impressively prompt. Highly recommended for anyone looking for flavorful Thai cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere.

Overall, everything we ordered was enjoyable. The fish and the chicken wings were especially memorable—the seasoning added so much flavor that I’d definitely come back just to have them again. But the prices felt abit high.

Fish Cheeks has been featured on CBS, so it's no surprise it's getting plenty of buzz—especially thanks to its dynamic co-creators. We went for a birthday celebration and ordered a whole spread. Just a heads-up: this is not your typical Americanized Thai spot—you won’t find your standard Pad Thai or green curry here. Instead, the menu challenges you to explore new territory and pushes your taste buds in the best way possible. I genuinely loved the bold flavors. For example, you might not think a steamed whole fish would be a standout dish, but it was absolutely to die for. I’d highly recommend it. The coconut cocktails are on the pricier side, but also delicious—just don’t expect to get tipsy off them. Now, my one and only complaint: the chairs. We were a group, and two of us got stuck with these incredibly uncomfortable metal seats. As an architect, I appreciated the overall interior design—it’s thoughtfully done. But I simply can’t understand the choice of these chairs. You can’t lean back comfortably because the cold metal jabs into your spine, which significantly impacted the experience. So if anyone from the management team is reading: please consider either swapping those chairs out or adding a simple cushion or padded back. It’s hard to fully reflect on how delicious your food is when your back is screaming halfway through dinner.
