Literally one of the best sushi places ever! Super fresh fish at such a great price - the medium party platter served 4-5 people and was ~$140 plus there was such diversity in fish. The fatty salmon and albacore were my favorites. They I also give you lots of ginger and small bottle of soy sauce! Definitely coming back again!!!

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to get over here. It’s a small unassuming place offering take-out sushi and sashimi and it’s awesome! For the quality, the prices here can’t be beat. All the fish was super fresh and the guy behind the counter clearly knew what he was doing. The rolls had just the right amount of rice. I’ll be back!

One of the biggest hidden gems in the city. If u love omakase but don’t feel like going in person or spending a fortune, then Roy is your guy. His sushi grade fish is always top quality, and certainly on par with most of the omakase places we used to frequent at about $2-300 pp. we always get toro, hamachi, salmon belly and bay scallops when they’re available. Hamachi is one of those fish that’s very easily fishy, but his is always fresh and spot on. Also, incredibly nice guy!

4.5/5 Roy's Special A Set ($19.5): superb quality fish, especially loved the salmon nigiri pieces! Only -0.5stars as other reviewers alluded to, it is a bit pricey for the serving size. I do think the sashimi platter looks like better value, so I will be sure to order that next time

i had the most wonderful experience at roy’s fish market! this place is a one man shop, so it can definitely get busy or backed up at times, but this man deserves some patience since his shop has recently gone viral and he’s probably still adjusting to the increase in demand. i placed an order for pickup, and he was kind enough to upgrade my california roll to a toro hand roll (packed full of tuna and masago!!) since there was still a brief 5 minute wait when i got there, which was no big deal at all. the owner is so kind and sweet, and the nigiri was some of the freshest fish i’ve had in the city! i didn’t eat my order until an hour later, and the unagi was still warm, and the fish was delicious :) would highly recommend coming to support this small business, but be sure to call in and order ahead as there can be up to a 2 hour wait if you walk in!!
